VCA Theatre Students Strut the Boards at Year's End

Kids Love Theatre? Melbourne has it ALL this school holidays.

Theatre lovers are in for a treat this school holidays.

An amazing array of opportunities are on offer in this town for people of all ages, including courses, tours, activities and performances.

If you are, or know, a budding actor, musician, dancer, circus performer or puppeteer, there is something on offer for you. ON the other hand, if you love going to shows, there's a smorgasbord of choice for all tastes.

Acting Courses at VCA (Adults, VCE Drama students, and secondary students)

Victorian College of the Arts is offering short courses for aspiring thespians this coming school holiday break in Melbourne.

VCE Drama students may relish the opportunity to get ahead in solo performance assessment with a special course designed for those completing Unit 4 in the second half of the year.

Pop Song Writing Bootcamp


Wanna write a pop song and then perform your song in a live recording concert?

Of course you do. 

And thanks to an initiative by the School of Contemporary Music at the Victorian College of the Arts, you can do just that this coming school holidays. Oh yeah!

Pop Song Writing Boot Camp (Monday 1st July – Friday 5th July) is a five-day course where participants will be introduced to a range of songwriting techniques, lyrics, hooks and melodies while creating their own songs. 

Discussion about the business of writing will be of particular interest to those considering entering the music industry. On the final day you will perform your work in a live recording concert. Continue reading here.
